Steel/Brass Nylon Mold Lamps

Steel/Brass Nylon Mold Lamps

1940s. Pair. Definitely one-of-a-kind, definitely fun as lamps or objets. These are two brass and steel molds used as fitting patterns for the manufacturing of nylon stockings during the 1940s. In leg and foot size they represent the average size of a woman's leg and foot for that category. They have been mounted on wrought iron bases and wired to be used as floor lamps. However, the lamp socket fixture on top is optional. Once removed, they can also stand on their own as a pair of strikingly kicky objets. YOU'LL NEVER SEE SOMETHING LIKE THESE AGAIN!
